Lucy Anne is our Food Pantry Mascot. She loves people greatly. Lucy Anne will greet you at our door and always says "goodbye". Lucy Anne believes in the mission of our Food Pantry and wants everyone to feel and grow the love. BARK-BARK!!

Miss Rodney, Manager

Manager

Miss Rodney grew up on a rural beef cattle farm in Bedford, VA. She has over 30 years of food and beverage experience, more than 50 years of local, regional and national theatre experiences, and serves as an active volunteer with the Southeast Food Bank of Virginia. Miss Rodney serves as a board member for Because We Care II Inc. and participates with Royster Presbyterian Church. Big on creativity, the LGBTQ+ community, care and respect for all people and believes in the dream for improving and providing the needs of our community.

Jaylen, Office Manager

Born and raised in Clinton, NC, Jaylen developed a passion for helping others at an early age. While studying cosmetology at FTCC, she became inspired by her mother's vision of creating an organization that would make a difference in the community. In the summer of 2025, Jaylen and her spouse moved to Virginia to help bring that vision to life. Since then, she has had the privilege of watching Changing Lives 365 grow from a dream into an organization serving individuals and families in need. She is grateful for the opportunity to provide hope, food, compassion, and encouragement to the community every day.

Tyrii, Production Manager

Born and raised in Raleigh, NC, Tyrii learned from an early age the importance of hard work, perseverance, and serving others. He takes pride in being a "jack of all trades," always looking for opportunities to build, improve, and restore. His resourcefulness and willingness to help have allowed him to make a meaningful impact both within the organization and in the community. Inspired by the vision of Changing Lives 365, Tyrii joined the organization with a passion for helping bring that vision to life. He has played an important role in transforming an empty building into a welcoming Food Pantry where individuals and families can receive support with dignity and compassion. Tyrii is grateful for the opportunity to serve, give back, inspire hope, and help create a positive environment where everyone feels welcomed and valued.

Daquan "DJ", Lead

Lead

Daquan "DJ" is a dedicated member of the Changing Lives 365 team who is passionate about personal growth, community service, and making a positive difference in the lives of others. As a God-fearing young man, Daquan is committed to serving his community and contributing to the continued growth and success of Changing Lives 365 Food Pantry. Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Daquan is a graduate of Norview High School. He actively supports the pantry's mission and looks for opportunities to give back to the community whenever possible. Outside of his work with Changing Lives 365, Daquan enjoys listening to music and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Queashaun, Lead

Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Queashaun is a dedicated community advocate and graduate of Maury High School. His commitment to serving others began at the age of 12, when he became actively involved in civic league meetings, community beautification, landscaping projects, and other local initiatives. Today, Queashaun continues to lead with passion, hard work, and a strong commitment to creating positive changes and improving the community he proudly calls home.

Heather R. Dixon, CEO/Owner

CEO/Owner

Heather R. Dixon is a visionary leader, community advocate, certified life coach, and human-services professional with more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families. As CEO of Because We Care II, Inc. and Changing Lives 365, she leads with compassion, dignity, and a commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for those in need. Through her work, Heather supports individuals and families facing challenges such as behavioral health concerns, housing instability, substance use, and food insecurity. As a certified life coach, she also empowers others to recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and work toward stability and personal growth. Heather’s passion for service continues to drive her mission of strengthening communities, creating opportunities, and changing lives—one person and one family at a time.
